Kira Bat Contemporary Artist

I turn emotions, memories and fleeting inner states into something visible

Hi, I’m a contemporary artist and designer based in Belgrade, originally from Russia.

My work moves between abstraction, surrealism and figurative painting. I’m interested in emotions that are difficult to put into words — intimacy, tension, vulnerability, desire and the distance between people.

I work with oil, texture and metallic leaf, allowing the materials and the process to become part of the story. For me, painting is a form of meditation — a way to slow down, observe and give shape to what I feel.

Art & design practice

My background in design shapes the way I think about composition, rhythm and balance. Painting allows me to move beyond function and follow intuition, emotion and experimentation.

Smoking — the whole artwork

Holy Sinner

Smoking

Sacred imagery meets an ordinary human gesture. Smoking explores the contradiction between purity and desire, devotion and rebellion — the space where the saint and the sinner become the same person.
